Trip Details
Location: Paquette's Camp, Wagoon Lake (near Chapleau, Canada)
Date: May 17th - 24th, 2009
Attendees: TK, Bryan, Steve, Denny, Mike, Jimmy, JJ and Jamie

Fishing Report
We had very good success compared to our trip to Big Manistique Lake (near Curtis, MI) the year prior. Early in the week, the fish started out very stacked in our "favorite" spot. During the middle of the week they began to scatter and were somewhat smaller in size. However, there were 3 eyes caught over 25 inches. Overall, we ate fish every day and everyone was able to take home their limit. I was very happy with the fishing at Wagoon and feel it has potential to be better if we decide to attend again next year.

Additional Highlights
The resort owner, Louie, really took care of our gang. He showed us a couple of spots where the eyes were located, had a couple of beers with us and created a great experience for our crew.

Here are a couple of my favs....
1. Steve really does not like the eyes when he is sleeping, but really likes to sleep.
2. Did JJ really go to fish?
3. Who needs a net when you have an ore?
4. TK is a master liar ............. dice player.
5. Stevo crushin the pike - he really caught, removed the hook and put the fish on a stringer!
6. Pliars for minnows.
7. Cow and calf in the lake.
8. Poutine

A 26 incher
A good day - a couple 22 and 23 incher. One went back :)

A nice night

Yes - we did have snow!

On the way to the "pike" lake. It was a 3/4 mile hike with beverages, motors, tackle, etc.

Stevo lands a nice pike.

One of our stringers. There is white fish in the mix.

Catching a few pike.

Steve and I were lucky enough to see a moose and its calf on the lake one evening. You really cant see the calf, but it is there to the left of the cow.

Steve decided to sleep in one morning and woke up to an "eye"!
